Compare your electrical quotes
A lower price is easier to judge when you know what it covers. Put two written quotes beside each other and check the same details in both. Missing equipment, travel or restoration can make apparently similar prices mean different things.
Quote comparison method and limits
For example, one switchboard (the panel containing your circuit protection) quote might include fault diagnosis and testing while another prices only replacement equipment. A power-point quote may exclude patching the wall. Resolve those differences with the contractors before choosing on total price.
The comparison subtracts one entered total from the other and lists details you have not confirmed in both quotes. Its assumptions are that totals include tax and each tick reflects the written quote. It does not supply market rates, inspect the wiring, rate a contractor or establish whether either recommendation is right. A complete set of ticks means only that you have checked these written details.
