Privacy Policy
Last updated 3 October 2026.
Electrician Redlands ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at redlandcityelectrical.com.au. This privacy policy explains the personal information collected through this website, how an electrical enquiry may be shared and what the enquiry form saves in your browser. Read it before sending contact or project details.
Who we are and what this site does
Electrician Redlands provides electrical information and assesses enquiries for Redland Bay, QLD and nearby areas. With your consent, your enquiry may be passed to one or more suitable independent providers. We do not carry out electrical work. A provider confirms whether they can help, and any agreement for work is made directly with them.
Information we collect
We collect the personal information you choose to give us through our enquiry forms. This typically includes your name, email address, phone number, the suburb or area your project is in, and any details you provide about what you need. You are not required to submit an enquiry, but the required form fields are needed for us to assess and process one.
The hosting and form-processing services may receive technical information such as your internet protocol (IP) address, browser, request time and page address. These records may be associated with an enquiry. Limit your message to the electrical job: identity documents, payment details and unrelated sensitive information are not needed to describe the work.
How we use your information
We use your personal information to:
- assess your enquiry and, where appropriate, pass your details to one or more potentially suitable independent providers so they can decide whether to contact you about your project;
- respond to questions you send us directly;
- maintain, secure and improve the website; and
- meet our legal and record-keeping obligations.
The required consent checkbox covers contact and potential sharing with independent providers about this enquiry. It is not a separate opt-in to unrelated marketing. You can read the guides and use the tools without submitting your contact details. If you leave the checkbox unticked, the form cannot be submitted.
Disclosure of your information
When you submit an enquiry you consent to your contact details and project information being shared with one or more potentially suitable independent providers where available. A provider that receives your details is responsible for its own handling of your information under its privacy obligations. Submission does not mean that a provider has accepted the work.
Information may also be handled by services used to host the website and process the form, or disclosed where required by law. Sharing an enquiry does not mean that a provider has accepted the job. Before sending further documents to a responding provider, check the business identity and its privacy terms, and share only what is relevant to the proposed work.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand visits to this website. It uses browser cookies and processes visit information under Google's privacy policy. You can limit cookies through your browser settings or use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
The enquiry form uses browser session storage to keep an unconfirmed submission and its retry identifier in the current tab. After an attempted submission, those details can reappear when you reload the page, allowing the same enquiry to be retried instead of creating a new one. A confirmed acceptance or rejection clears that saved attempt. Closing the tab normally ends session storage; browser restoration settings may affect this. Avoid using a shared device for sensitive enquiries, and do not include identity documents or payment details. The quote comparison tool does not save or send its figures or ticks with your enquiry.
Security and retention
No transmission or storage system is completely secure. The form sends the enquiry through this website and gives each submission an identifier so an unconfirmed attempt can be retried. A saved browser draft and a record received by a service or provider are separate copies. Closing your browser or clearing its saved data does not delete a copy that has already been received. This notice does not promise a fixed retention period or automatic deletion of those records.
Your rights
You may seek access to personal information, correction of inaccurate information or deletion where applicable. For records submitted through this website, email info@redlandcityelectrical.com.au and identify the enquiry and the records you are asking about. An independent provider that has received your details is responsible for requests about the copies it holds. The Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) access guidance explains how to identify the records you are requesting. The OAIC privacy-complaint guidance explains its complaint process and eligibility.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be reflected on this page; please check back periodically.
Contact
Email info@redlandcityelectrical.com.au for privacy questions, access, correction or deletion requests about information submitted through this website. Do not use the electrical enquiry form for a privacy request: its required consent permits contact and sharing about electrical work. Keep a copy of your correspondence and identify the enquiry, records and correction you are asking about without sending unnecessary sensitive documents. If a provider holds a separate copy of your information, ask that business for its own privacy contact.
